My undergraduate thesis creative project. A re-evaluation of composer Jim Steinman's work and style ultimately advocating for the continued performance of his theatre pieces. The thesis culminated in a reimagined, minimalist, experimental staging of the German language musical "Tanz der Vampire". The work featured an abridged English translation featuring lyrics found on Steinman's website, the ill-fated Broadway version of "Dance of the Vampires", and new direct translations from the German libretto.
